We started jimcantrellartist.com with a simple goal in mind: to create a platform that makes it easy for both our old and new art collectors & patrons to be able to view and purchase my work when one can't come to the studio or gallery.  Our journey has been a long and winding one, but we're proud of what we've accomplished so far.  

My studio is in the historic Bardstown, Kentucky-known as the Bourbon Capital of the World!  After teaching art for 14 years, in 1971 I decided to leave academia and attempt to make a living as an independent studio artist.  My wife & I, along with our 4 & 5 year old children, chose to live & work in a small community near larger metropolitan cities .
